The Sandman Season 1 on Netflix created the fictional universe in which the stories take place, enabling for more stories and less explanation in the future. Despite the fact that The Sandman Season 2 isn’t yet a guarantee on Netflix, the hit series’ producers are ready to start working on it.

According to The Sandman co-executive producer David S. Goyer, “Because we’ve introduced the audience to the fundamental concepts, in some respects it’s simpler. Will there be a Season 2 of Sandman?

Allan Heinberg, the show’s creator, stated to Rolling Stone that the cast is prepared to begin work on The Sandman Season 2 if it is indeed approved.

Heinberg remarked, “We had a writer’s room for 20 weeks to discuss about Season 2 and to break stories and develop first draughts. And right now, I’m having preliminary discussions with production design and VFX to put everything in place so that, if Season 2 materialises, we’ll be ready to go, ideally with the same team that produced Season 1.

The Sandman has one season as of the date of this writing (10.08.2022). The show’s creators and cast, nevertheless, are eager to start production on a second season provided Netflix approves the idea.

The fact that we can draw from “Sandman” in its entirety is fantastic.”
