Synopsis for Euphoria Season 2 Episode 7
“Lexi’s play is performed for students, parents, and faculty at East Highland. Lexi’s classmates notice that the play is based on their own lives, but their identities have been changed. Lexi was earlier seen chatting to Fezco about her concerns about the performance upsetting people. Later, he promises to come to her play.
The play covers major events and relationships through Lexi’s perspective, including Rue’s father’s wake and her spiral into drugs, Cassie going through puberty, Rue and Lexi’s friendship, Lexi’s relationship with her father, Cassie and Maddy’s friendship, and Maddy and Nate’s relationship.
Before the play begins, Custer arrives at Fezco’s house, and Ashtray is suspicious of him. Despite his affections for Maddy and Jules, Cassie and Nate maintain their relationship. Rue’s mother informs her that she will no longer be seeking for her and will instead concentrate on Gia. Jules rips the DVD Nate gave her to shreds. Maddy swears to leave East Highland after feeling betrayed. Fezco is unable to attend Lexi’s performance. The piece concludes with a performance of ‘Holding Out for a Hero,’ in which Nate’s character, Ethan, and other male students work out in a suggestive manner. Nate yells “homophobic” at the scene, exits the performance early, and breaks up with Cassie.”
