To My Star 2 Ep 1 & 2 Review: Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min face troubled waters

What we thought of To My Star 2: Episodes 1 & 2: Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min in peril

In response to an enthusiastic first season, the K-drama ‘To My Star’ has returned for its second season. Re-castings of Kang Seo Joon and Han Ji Woo have been made by actors Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min while the supporting cast includes Jeon Jae Young as Kim Pil Hyun, Ko Ja Hyun as Kim Hyung Ki and Kim Jin Kwon as Baek Ho Min.
“To My Star 2” appears to continue the new couple’s daily routine, which centred around them. Kang Seo Joon’s (Son Woo Hyun) performing as a top star, which is full of a complicated schedule and his disinterest, steadily drifts into this storyline. Artists are notoriously hard to work with, and so are the employees of the corporation that employs them.

A message that reads “Let’s end it here” appears to have been all Han Ji Woo left him. Due to Han Ji Woo’s ultimatum, he ends himself at Han Ji Woo’s new address and begins searching for reasons to their abrupt separation, answers that his ex isn’t ready to share.

Between their happy memories of being together in the past and their current inability to find the appropriate words to say to one another, this story reflects on their struggles to come to terms with a breakup that none of them desired.

While the simplistic graphics continue to impress, the plot doesn’t provide a convincing explanation for why the show has to return for a second season. We’ll have to wait and see.
