KENSAW, Georgia – The women’s golf team at Kennesaw State has signed Alessandra Nagayo, according to head coach Erin Thorne’s announcement on Wednesday.
Early this year, Nagayo received her diploma from Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary. She received academic honors at Marshall McLuhan in 2019–2020 and 2020–21 while winning the Rowville Sports Academy Student-Athlete of the Year title in 2017 and 2018.
Nagayo can participate in this spring’s competition for the Owls.
Nagayo, who was raised in Ontario, Canada, but was born in the Philippines, wants to study psychology at Kennesaw State.
Nagayo described coach Thorne as “extremely nice, understanding, and a competitive coach.” “I think she and the group can help me get better at golf. The campus at Kennesaw State is very lovely, and everyone there is so polite.”
Daniel Nagayo is Nagayo’s only sibling. She is the daughter of Danny and Rachel Nagayo.
