Season 2 of “Selling the OC”: Everything We Know

Selling the OC, Netflix’s second Selling Universe spinoff, has debuted and introduced viewers to a new group of realtors that are even more outrageous than the Sunset team. For those of us who are fascinated with dubious workplace dynamics and ultra-luxury real estate, the series’ first season, which is based out of the Oppenheim Group’s new Newport Beach office, includes loads of inter-office competition and interpersonal turmoil. (So far, the OC has so much wood, but LA’s homes have industrial accents.)

It’s time to find out if viewers can anticipate The OC team returning for a second season now that a week has elapsed since the premiere.

Has “Selling the OC” been picked up for a second season?

Selling the OC’s Season 2 prospects are dependent on Netflix’s commitment to the Sunset universe since the streaming service has yet to provide any indication of a renewal. Even without Christine, Selling Sunset is still running strong, but we haven’t heard anything about the first spinoff, Selling Tampa, including any indications of a renewal.

Since its debut last week, OC has remained in the top 5 Netflix original series. That may be a strong enough viewing response for Netflix to continue using the second Oppenheim office even though it hasn’t reached No. 1.

Who might return for season 2 of “Selling the OC”?

Even though there is a lot of intra-office conflict, no one’s position at Oppenheim is in doubt by the end of the season. Alex Hall, Alexandra Jarvis, Alexandra Rose, Austin Victoria, Brandi Marshall, Gio Helou, Kayla Cardona, Lauren Shortt, Polly Brindle, Sean Palmieri, Tyler Stanaland, and Brett and Jason Oppenheim are all set to return for season 2.

What would the topic of “Selling the OC” season 2 be?

There is a lot of drama in the office connections, even if it’s too early to tell whether the new spinoff will have any multi-season arcs like Sunset’s cast relationships or a straightforward nemesis like Christine. A major conflict that split the company in two during Season 1 saw Kayla Cardona being fired after making aggressive approaches on Tyler Stanaland, a married coworker, by a group led by Alex Hall and Polly Brindle.

In contrast to Tyler, who told Bustle(opens in new tab) that his connection with Kayla is good after they spoke both on- and off-camera, Hall claimed that she and Kayla have become “more walled off since the show.” After seeing the show, Kayla noted, she found some of the things Hall said behind her back to be offensive.

At the conclusion of the season, Rose and Jarvis, the other two Alexandras in the office, defended Kayla by pointing out that Alex and Polly are quite flirtatious with Tyler (Many viewers are still trying to scrub the term “nosey” from their brains.) The cast of the show revealed in a Tudum(opens in new tab) interview that the dynamics haven’t changed since the premiere of the season, with Rose claiming she’s “not cordial” with everyone else besides Gio Helou, Kayla, and Austin Victoria. If there is a second season, time will tell if these alliances are still in place.
