‘Heartstopper’ Season 2 Cast Teases 2023 Release in New Video

Heartstopper fans, good news! On Christmas Day, the cast of Netflix’s LGBT coming-of-age rom-com series posted a new video wishing the season’s best to all of the show’s viewers. Given that the holiday season is so closely linked to giving gifts, it was only natural for the cast members Joe Locke, Kit Connor, Tobie Donovan, Yasmin Finney, and William Gao to attend the event bearing a present for the audience—specifically, the exciting announcement that Season 2 will debut in 2023.

Netflix’s Heartstopper proved to be a great hit, and less than a month after the show’s spring premiere, the streaming service renewed it for an extra two seasons. Four new cast members were added for Season 2’s filming, which started in September and ended in early December. The next season will premiere on Netflix within the next year as production has already been completed.

Heartstopper, which is based on Alice Oseman’s series of identical graphic novels, follows teenagers Charlie Spring (Locke) and Nick Nelson (Connor) as well as their friends as they deal with maturing and developing into their personalities. In contrast to Nick, who through a voyage of self-discovery and came to understand the true nature of his developing love for Charlie, Charlie and Elle (Finney) underwent a journey of understanding precisely who they were and creating a world that accepted them without apology.

Since Season 1 followed the first two novels in Oseman’s series, it is reasonable to infer that Season 2 will cover the remaining two books in the series, or at least take inspiration from them. We won’t know for sure until 2023 if this entails a teen-angst-filled school trip to Paris or not.

Heartstopper also stars Sebastian Croft, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Rhea Norwood, and Jenny Walser, with Jack Barton, Nima Taleghani, Bradley Riches, and newcomer Leila Khan coming for Season 2. In addition to Locke, Connor, Finney, Donovan, and Gao. There is currently no information on whether Olivia Colman, who portrayed Nick’s mother in Season 1, will return for Season 2.

In 2023, Season 2 of Heartstopper will debut. The cast has made the following announcement:
