HBO has picked up “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for a Season 12 renewal.
The highly regarded comedy series’ eleventh season premiered on HBO in October 2021. Four Emmy nominations were received for that season, including one for Bill Hader for best guest actor in a comedy series and best comedy series overall. To far, the programme has been nominated for 51 Emmys.
According to Larry David, “playing the character of Larry David has been the greatest honour of my life.” He speaks six languages, brines his own pickles, and leads a nationwide effort to put a bidet in every house, among other things, as I learned while studying this multifaceted, multitalented guy. He is also said to be the most giving of lovers, according to a variety of sources. I can’t wait to reappear as this powerful force of nature. I just hope I can treat him fairly.
“Curb Your Enthusiasm” was developed by David, who also appears in it as a fictionalised version of himself. The series is filmed without a script, and the cast members are given scene summaries and are instructed to improvise lines as they go.
The cast also features Ted Danson, Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, Cheryl Hines, Richard Lewis, and Vince Vaughn.
Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO Programming, said that “Larry outdoes himself season after season and always manages to come back when the audience needs him most.” We can’t wait for him, Jeff Schaffer, and our incredible ensemble to keep making us laugh and grimace at the same time.
Along with Garlin and Jeff Schaffer, David serves as executive producer of the show. Co-executive producers are Jennifer Corey and Laura Streicher.
