The show’s first two seasons were critically acclaimed, and now it’s time to find out what happens next. Season 3 will be released on Netflix in 2020, allowing you to binge-watch all ten episodes at once.
On July 5th, the live-action version of Kekkai Sensen, one of the most anticipated anime shows in recent years, will launch on the Crunchyroll platform.
Fans have been clamouring for additional episodes for a long time. The second season ended in 2017; however, Studio Bones has not confirmed if Kekkai Sensen Season 3 will be renewed. Finally, it’s time to raise some real worries regarding the future of popular anime. Will it ever be made available? Here’s all you need to know.
Kekkai Sensen Season 3: When Will It Be Released?
Even though there has been no formal renewal, Kekkai Sensen Season 3 of Blood Blockade Battlefront looks to be entirely plausible.
The original material and animation creators have had two previous seasons that have been incredibly successful. Following the debut of each new season, Studio Bones sells a large number of DVDs/Blu-rays. Furthermore, the anime series increased manga sales. Consequently, the release of Kekkai Sensen Season 3 may benefit the producers in terms of public attention.
The third season of Kekkai Sensen, on the other hand, has yet to be revealed, and we have no idea what will happen in the series.
That being said, there’s no reason to be disheartened right now because anime shows are often renewed every five years, and Kekkai Sensen has a long way to go. If all goes as planned, the Kekkai Sensen Season 3 launch date might be around 2021 or 2022. We’ll update this section as soon as new information becomes available.
The first DVD in the series sold 4,784 copies when it was released. Meanwhile, the first week of the Blu-ray release resulted in 12,171 sales.
The second season’s disc release is set to begin on February 18th, 2021, with Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond, which will feature the first four episodes in Japanese. As for extras, there’s a slipcase, a guidebook, art cards, the opening and closing songs, an episode guide, and a trailer.
In Studio Bones, Shigehito Takayanagi served as the series’ second director ( Noragami Season 3 ). Between October and December of 2017, twelve new episodes were broadcast in Japan.
Studio Bones developed the first season, which aired in Japan in spring 2015 and is now accessible on KSM Anime. The film was directed by Rie Matsumoto, who also acted as an episode director for the second season and handled storyboards.
Characters, Cast, and Crew of Kekkai Sensen
Leonardo Watch: A young photographer who travelled to Hellsalem’s Lot to help his ailing sister. At the expense of his sister’s sight, a mysterious entity bestowed upon him the “All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods,” bestowing upon him a range of powerful ocular abilities. His eyes have a limit; if he overworks them, they “shatter,” causing his eyes to haemorrhage.
Zapp constantly taunts him, and his lack of combat skills puts him in danger, especially when it comes to those who desire his power.
Klaus Von Reinherz: He is a massive, powerful man with a noticeable underbite who is exceptionally calm, gentlemanly, and honest to a fault, with an unyielding will. He’s an expert in the Brain Grid Blood Battle Technique, in which he can create gigantic cross-shaped weaponry and keep enemies away.
Klaus is also extraordinarily bright, having spent ninety-nine hours playing Prosfair, a chess-like game, against a creature that has studied the game for thousands of years.
His ultimate approach allows him to imprison the Blood Breeds, who cannot be killed due to their eternal nature, but he must first get the enemy’s true identity, which needs Leo to utilise his skills to reveal.
Zapp Renfro: A womanising Libra member and master of the Big Dipper Blood-Fighting Style’s Kagutsuchi branch, which allows him to manipulate his blood into swords and explosions.
He’s well-trained, and he can keep up with animals at a rate considerably quicker than the human eye can. His youthful antics regularly get him and the rest of Libra in hot water. He is Leonardo’s buddy, and despite his usual demeanour, he sincerely loves him. He always seeks to defeat Klaus in combat, but he is always the loser.
Chain Sumeragi: She is a Loups-Garous from Nowhere collaborator and a suit-clad werewolf with the ability to blend into the backdrop. She is swift on her feet (keeping up with Zapp’s chain of explosives from one end of the actual globe to the other) and is in charge of the majority of Libra’s reconnaissance.
Her vicious nature regularly causes physical harm to others or displays apathy for those in peril (mainly to Zapp for his womanising tendencies).
Throughout the series, she is portrayed to be worried about her companions, most particularly Leo. Her power is erasing her presence, and she needs a link (a chain) to connect her to the rest of the world to counterbalance the effect of her ability, or she would expire.
Season 3 of Kekkai Sensen: Source Material
The Kekkai Sensen manga series consists of 10 volumes. The first Blood Blockade Battlefront episode adapts 12 chapters from Volume 6 of the manga. After being shelved for a period, the remaining volumes were used in the second season. As a consequence, the manga is finished.
Fortunately, there is enough to complete Season 3 of Kekkai Sensen despite the limited source material. In 2015, a direct sequel to the original manga was released. The second season of Blood Blockade Battlefront has begun. It’s called Blood Blockade Battlefront or Kekkai Sensen- Back 2 Back, and it’s the sequel to the original one. The second manga, like the first, is currently in production and has a total of seven volumes—the most recent one, published in December 2019.
As a result, Kekkai Sensen Season 3 will undoubtedly be based on the Back 2 Back manga series. Kekkai Sensen Season 3 production might begin as soon as enough source material.
